Sobrato Foundation Challenge Grant

Family & Children Services is excited and honored to announce that we have been awarded a Challenge Grant by the Sobrato Foundation.

Imagine -

$1,000 funds support services for a nervous 18 year old getting ready to exit the foster care system. He will receive assistance in how to locate an apartment, find a roommate, fill out forms, secure rental fees, and stock his first apartment with some basic necessities.

Doubling that investment to $2,000 allows this teen to also get help with college, scholarship, and student loan applications, opening a bank account, and setting up a budget.

This can really happen due to the generosity of the Sobrato Foundation. The foundation has offered to match any contribution donors who are new to the agency or who have not given recently choose to make, dollar for dollar.
