Financial Contributions

Your support is vital.
Requests for mental health services have increased significantly, while the availability of public financial resources is declining. Now more than ever, your support is needed.

There are several ways to make a financial contribution to Family & Children Services:

• Cash Donation
Cash gifts are accepted in the form of cash or check. To make a cash donation, please see the Donation Form.

• Endowment Fund
Gifts to Family & Children Services' Endowment Fund help to ensure the long-term sustainability of the agency's programs and services. Please call our Development Office to information:
650-326-6576. (Endowment Policy)

• Life Insurance
You may make a gift to Family & Children Services through a life insurance policy, or a portion of a life insurance policy.

• Matching Gift Program
Many companies offer a matching gift program, where the company “matches” the dollar amount donated by the employee. Check with your human resources or marketing department to see what your company offers.

• Memorial or Tribute Gifts
Monetary donations may be designated as a memorial for a loved or as a tribute to a family member, friend or colleague. All memorial and tribute gifts are listed in our annual report according to the fiscal year in which they were designated. These gifts may be made online through our online donation service, Network for Good, or by completing the donation form with your gift.

• On-Line Credit Card Donation
Please click on the "Donate Now" button above in the right column, or here to go directly to our secure online donation website hosted by Network for Good.

• Real Estate
A gift of real estate will enable you to avoid capital gains tax on your profit, and you gain a tax deduction for the full market value of the property.

• Special Events

• Stock
You may reduce your tax on the gain of stocks, bonds, and other securities by donating them to Family & Children Services. When you make a gift of appreciated securities, it generally qualifies not only for an income tax deduction, but also avoids long-term capital gains tax.

• United Way Designations
Thank you for considering Family & Children Services as part of your United Way giving. We are a United Way agency, and donors may designate Family & Children Services to receive a donation through the United Way of Silicon Valley by filling in our name and ID (#335400) on the United Way contribution form. If you would like to introduce our agency to your company, we are always available to make an on-site presentation to your co-workers!

• Vehicle Donation
Car donations may be arranged through St. Vincent de Paul, for the cash value of the vehicle.
Call (408) 993-9500, and request that your vehicle donation benefit Family & Children Services.

• Will Bequest
You may make a general bequest that designates Family & Children Services to receive a designated sum from, or a predetermined percentage of, your estate. This can significantly reduce estate taxes to your heirs.

• Wish List
Family & Children Services welcomes in-kind gifts such as office furniture, supplies and office equipment. Please see our Wish List for an up-to-date list of agency and client needs. View List
