Family & Children Services welcomes in-kind gifts such as office furniture,
supplies and office equipment. Donations are tax-deductible. Agency and client needs include:
Children's Therapy Supplies
- A shed to store outdoor therapy items at our San Jose office
- For play time with young clients: basketballs, basketball pumps, left-handed and right-handed baseball gloves, softballs, markers, and clay.
- Guitar for a youth
- New and unused children's toys
- New or gently used (in good condition) children's books for our San Jose book closet [for clients without access to books at home to take home with them as gifts]
Household Items for Clients
- Bedding, including warm blankets, for clients of low-income.
- Gift cards, bath products, towels, and warm clothing for clients who are living with AIDS and HIV.
- Gift cards for home supply, grocery, and clothing stores for struggling clients (Target, etc.)
- Holiday Giving

- Fire alarms accessible for the Deaf
- A 20-inch TV for communicating with clients who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing by videophone (VP)
- 2 professional visual display boards for community

- TV/video/DVD combination sets for parenting workshops and violence prevention activities
Technology *
- Color printer
- Digital camera
- Licensed copies of photo editing software
- Photo scanner
- Laptop computers for
therapists to use when working with clients off-site
