February - Open House
Join us to learn more about Family & Children Services and the work our donors and supporters make possible. The 2010 Open House is scheduled for February 27th. more

May - The Circle of Support Breakfast
Founded in 2004, the Circle of Support Breakfast is an annual event featuring a speaker on emotional wellness. A volunteer committee plans, organizes, and presents the breakfast, which is held in the Menlo Park-Palo Alto area. The committee welcomes inquiries from new members. Other ways to help include table sponsorships and event underwriting. more

May - Inaugural Family & Children Services Charity Golf Classic
Family & Children Services is planning its first golf tournament. The event is scheduled for May 17, 2010 at the Los Altos Golf & Country Club. more

October - Domestic Violence Awareness Month
We are active year-round in efforts to increase awareness of the issues surrounding family violence and abuse and of our prevention services for individuals and families who need them. We are especially active throughout the month of October.

November - Chocolate and Wine
In November 2008, we debuted a new fundraising event, Chocolate and Wine! Our next themed event is tentatively scheduled for November 2010. more

December - Christmas Tree Elegance Presented by Valle Monte League
Presented by The Valle Monte League, Inc., this annual four-day event is held the week after Thanksgiving in San Jose. The fashion shows, gala, and children's party consistently sell-out. The event benefits four agencies serving the South Bay: Family & Children Services, John XXIII Multi-Service Center, the Center for Living with Dying, and the Alzheimer's Activity Center.

Family & Children Services is honored to have been selected by the LACY Program as a 2009 Honoree for our pioneering mental heath services program for youth who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender or who are questioning their sexual identity.

Our partner in this program is the Billy De Frank LGBT Center. more
