Learn a New Language in 2012
Registration Open for Beginning ASL Class
San Jose, CA – Family & Children Services has opened registration for a beginning youth and adult American Sign Language (ASL) class. The 10-week class will start on January 26 and meet on Thursday evenings from 6pm-7:30pm through March 29. The class is open to youth (minimum age of 17 years old) and adults who have family members who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing or are interested in learning a new language.
The class will instruct participants in the basics of ASL; no prior knowledge of ASL is expected. Classes will meet at Family & Children Services’ office located at 950 W. Julian Street in San Jose. Family & Children Services has served children and adults who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing and their family members for more than 20 years.
