Family & Children Services Announces New CEO
San Jose, CA – The Board of Directors of Family & Children Services has announced the selection of a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the Silicon Valley nonprofit organization. Diana Neiman, who joined Family & Children Services in November as Chief Financial Officer, has been named as CEO.
Diana Neiman brings to Family & Children Services more than 20 years of management experience in corporate and nonprofit settings. Her corporate career included strategic and financial roles at Applied Materials, Sun Microsystems, and Apple. In addition, Diana was a founding board member of the highly successful Bullis Charter School in Los Altos. She was involved in all facets of the establishment of the school, and she served as treasurer of the Bullis-Purissima Elementary School Foundation for three years. Diana, born and raised in England, is a chartered accountant and a fellowship member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the global membership organization of chartered accountants.
Since 1948, Family & Children Services has provided counseling, caring, and support to children, youth, and adults in Silicon Valley, particularly those who might not otherwise be able to afford care. The organization helps children and adults cope effectively with depression, addiction, and chronic mental or physical illness; aids families in overcoming domestic violence and child abuse; and counsels and assists our community’s veterans, LGBTQ youth, and young people aged 16-21 as they emerge from the foster care system into independence.
Family & Children Services has offices in Palo Alto and San Jose, and provides services on-site at dozens of community locations, including schools, childcare centers, veterans’ centers, health clinics, courthouses, and community centers.
