FAMILY & CHILDREN SERVICES RECEIVES WEB SITE GRANT
Taproot Foundation Grant Valued at $35,000 to Redesign Nonprofit Web Site

Palo Alto, CA – Family & Children Services has been awarded a Service Grant from the Taproot Foundation for an Advanced Web Site project. This will be the nonprofit health and human services agency’s second Service Grant from the Taproot Foundation. The grant will provide the agency, which serves San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, with a volunteer team of web development professionals to redesign the agency’s web site. The estimated value of the grant is $35,000. The new site will launch in the first half of 2007.

“The Taproot Foundation provides a valuable service to both the nonprofit and professional communities. Professionals are matched with quality organizations and projects, while nonprofit agencies benefit from a dedicated team of talented professionals,” says Lani Dorff, Director of Development & Marketing at Family & Children Services. “Because of this Service Grant from the Taproot Foundation, Family & Children Services will undertake a project that will support our fundraising and communications efforts, without impacting valuable funds for serving clients.”

Family & Children Services has served San Mateo and Santa Clara counties for nearly 60 years. Its programs and services build strong, safe, and self-sufficient individuals, families, and communities.
