By contributing to Family & Children Services, you enable us to ensure caring, counseling, and support for vulnerable members of our community. We view our donors as partners and believe it is our responsibility to ensure gifts entrusted to us are put to the best use for our clients. Donations are tax-deductible and support our work year-round.
Make a contribution
To donate by mail, please print and complete the donation form and mail it, along with your check or credit card information, to our Palo Alto office (375 Cambridge Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94306). To request a donation envelope, please give us a call at 650-326-6576.
For your convenience, we offer online giving. Donations are processed for us by Network for Good, a secure nonprofit web site that facilitates philanthropy. Please click here to go to our online donation page.
You may designate Family & Children Services to receive a donation through your workplace or United Way campaign. We are happy to come to your workplace to have an information table or give a presentation.
Host an event

Holiday Giving Programs
During the winter holiday season, Family & Children Services welcomes companies, individuals, and families to help make our clients' wishes come true. Please visit our Making Holidays Bright page to learn about our giving program.
Gifts of stock, life insurance, and securities
You may make a gift to Family & Children Services through a life insurance policy or a portion of a life insurance policy, or by donating stocks, bonds, and other securities. When you make a gift of appreciated securities, you usually are able toqualify for an income tax deduction and avoid long-term capital gains tax. Please talk with your financial advisor.
Leave a legacy
We are honored to be remembered in wills and estate plans and to be part of individuals' and families' legacies. Please consult your lawyer when drawing up your will. He or she will be able to answer your questions and review all your options. Designating a nonprofit to receive a designated sum or a predetermined percentage of an estate can significantly reduce estate taxes.
You can help to build Family & Children Services' legacy by making a gift to our Endowment Fund.
Endowment Fund gifts help to ensure the long-term sustainability of the agency's programs and services. Our Endowment Policy is posted online for your review.
Memorial and tribute gifts
Monetary donations may be designated as a memorial for a loved one or as a tribute to a family member, friend, or colleague. You can donate online, or by completing the printable donation form. We would be delighted to send a card to the family or individual informing them of the gift. Just let us know to whom to send it and at what address.
Help while you shop
Family & Children Services is a Community Partner of Kepler's Books & Magazines in Menlo Park. When you shop at Kepler's, mention the agency at the register, and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to support our work! You may also shop online! Yoga of Los Altos offers occasional classes in its beautiful studio benefiting Family & Children Services.

From July4-September 25, Family & Children Services is a beneficiary of the Nickels for Nonprofits program at Whole Foods Market Palo Alto. We are excited to promote reusable bags while raising funds for our critical programs! Just bring your own bag and opt to donate the nickel you could save by being green. Flyer (PDF file)
In-kind donations
Family & Children Services welcomes in-kind gifts and donations of services. Gift cards, movie passes, and bus passes are always welcome. Please check out our wish list for an up-to-date list of agency and client needs as well as donation instructions.
