Violence Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment - Positive
Solutions

As violence becomes more prevalent in our society,
prevention, intervention, and treatment of this behavior is crucial. Violent and abusive behavior is learned, so it can be changed and the cycle broken.
SERVICES
Adult Anger Management & Accountability Groups
Members learn how
to express anger in appropriate ways and learn acceptable and positive
ways to interact with others.
Parenting Education
We offer a 16-week Parenting without Violence program, and a 52-week Child Abuse Treatment program. The 52-week program is certified by Santa Clara and San Mateo counties to meet court-mandated requirements. Participants meet in groups and learn about anger management, positive discipline, nonviolent communication, child development and stress management. In English and in Spanish.
We are also available to teach workshops for parents on positive discipline, family communication, and anger management.
As of Fall 2006, we offer the 16-week Fathering program at our San Jose office. For information, call 408-292-9353.
Domestic Violence Offender Groups for Men & for Women
Certified by Santa Clara and San Mateo counties, this 52-week program
teaches members about power and control, non-violent behavior, healthy
communication, and role definition. These groups are offered separately
for men and for women.
