Counseling for Individuals with AIDS & HIV
Coping with an HIV/AIDS diagnosis can be difficult for those both infected
and affected by the disease. Comprehensive mental health sevices are available
to help face these challenges.
SERVICES
Individual and Group Counseling
One-on-one and group counseling helps members identify and cope with issues such as: children and adults living with HIV and AIDS, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationships, medication management and side effects, workplace issues, communication, “coming out,” and grief and loss. Psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring is available.

Who Is Eligible?
Services are available to individuals with HIV or AIDS, as well as family
members, caregivers, and significant others.
Is There A Waiting List? If So, How Long?
No.
Are There Any Fees?
No fees if individuals meet qualifications set by San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
Otherwise fees are based on a sliding scale.
What Languages Are Spoken?
Services are available in American Sign Language, English, Spanish, Cambodian,
and Vietnamese.
