Ways to Work Family Loan Program

Part of being self-sufficient is feeling confident managing household finances, following a budget, having a savings plan, and being able to qualify for loans. To help local families on their way to self-sufficiency, Family & Children Services operates the Santa Clara County office of Ways to Work, a national program.

SERVICES

Low-interest loans assist qualifying Santa Clara County families with vehicle purchase or repair. Participants also receive credit counseling and assistance in budgeting and managing expenses.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is Eligible?
Families living in Santa Clara County who have not declared bankruptcy, have at least one child under the age of 18, and meet eligibility requirements. Call 408-374-9220, and complete an intake by phone to determine whether you qualify.

Is There A Waiting List? If So, How Long?
No.

Are There Any Fees?
Repayment of loans is required.

What Languages Are Spoken?
Services are available in English and Spanish.
