Protecting Children, Ending Cycles of Violence

Through collaborative projects and direct services, Family & Children Services is actively involved in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect. To end the cycle of abuse and help to heal the harm, we have treatment programs for parents and mental health counseling for children, adults, and families.

Services:
Early Childhood Services
Therapists on-site at child care centers work to identify cases of potential abuse and neglect, while also addressing children’s mental health needs.

Mental Health Services
We have counseling services for children, teens, adults, and families, in several languages.

Positive Solutions
We offer Parenting Without Violence and Child Abuse Treatment groups, as well as Anger Management & Accountability groups. These groups meet court requirements.

The Deaf & Hard of Hearing Program
In addition to mental health counseling for children and adults who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, our staff works to prevent abuse through home visits, education, and observation.

Speakers Bureau
Our workplace and community presentations address a variety of topics, including anger management, positive discipline, child development, and interpersonal communication.
