Family in the Community Project:New for fall 2010! Join us for hands-on activities designed to empower families with Deaf/HOH member(s), while building a circle of support among families. Families will participate in community events in order to learn how to access them for Deaf/HOH family members. For example, one trip may be to watch a film at a theater with Caption Reflector Equipment – the chance for all members of the family to watch a film in a theater together! These community-based events/activities will be provided at no-cost to families through the support of FIRST 5 Santa Clara County. Families must have a child under the age of 5 and live in Santa Clara County. Contact us to learn how to participate! For information and to sign up, please contact Evette Ybarra.
Internships: Beginning in January 2011, resumes will be accepted for 2011 Fall BSW (bachelor of social work) internship placements. Applicants must be fluent in ASL. Please send resumes to eybarra@fcservices.org
