Ways to Work Family Loan Program Loan Committee

The Ways to Work Family Loan Program invites community volunteers to apply to join its Loan Committee.

Commitee Information

The Loan Committee reviews anonymous applications for family loans. The role of the Loan Committee is extremely important.

Applications are presented to the Committee twice a month.  The Committee reviews each application and makes judgments based on whether the loan will help the applicants achieve greater financial stability and the likelihood of loan repayment.

Volunteer Background and Experience

Ways to Work Family Loan Program is looking for volunteers from a wide variety of professional backgrounds.  Professionals from the banking and financial services industries are encouraged to apply. To be representative of the community and its diversity, we also welcome interested applicants with other backgrounds.

Expectations

Each Committee member will make a one year commitment to serve.  The commitment includes one meeting per month for approximately two hours.

Confidentiality

The identity of Loan Committee Members will not be disclosed to applicants.  All proceedings are confidential.  Loan Committee Members will not be identified publicly except in connection with volunteer recognition activities of Family and Children Services.
